The Strahov Complex (CTU): Blocks, Pubs, and Rules
Strahov is the largest student residential complex in the Czech Republic, housing nearly 4,800 students across 12 massive concrete blocks. It sits on a hill near the Prague Castle and is notorious for its cheap, student-run infrastructure.
You do not need to go to the city center to party here. Strahov has its own legendary underground venues, specifically Klub 007 (Block 7) for alternative concerts and Silicon Hill pubs. Beers here cost roughly 35 CZK (€1.50), which is half the price of any bar in Prague 1.
Hostivař Dormitory (Charles University): The Corridor Parties
Located on the far eastern edge of the city, Hostivař is the primary hub for Charles University Erasmus students. Because it is physically isolated from the downtown clubs, the students here have perfected the art of the corridor party (chodba party).

You must present a valid physical ID card or passport to the security guard, who will log your entry into a physical ledger. You must be signed out and leave the building before midnight (00:00), unless your friend has officially paid an overnight guest fee in advance.

Where to Buy Alcohol for Dorm Pregames

From Strahov, you must take the Night Bus 910 to reach the Lazarská night tram hub in the center. From Hostivař, the journey is longer; you will rely on the Night Bus 911 or Night Tram 97.
