Prague Karaoke Bars: Private Rooms, Public Stages and Booking Tips
A private box gives your group control. A public stage gives you an audience. Match the format to the number of singers before choosing the address.

Two Formats, Two Different Nights

Defined capacity and paid time
KSTAR: Private Rooms for Eight to Twenty-Five
KSTAR at Legerova 78 currently lists five rooms: one for eight people, three for twelve and one for twenty-five. The venue charges for the whole room per hour, not per singer.
Published rates currently range from 800 to 1,500 CZK per hour at standard times and from 1,000 to 2,000 CZK during Thursday-to-Saturday primetime, depending on room. The official catalogue claim is 100,000+ titles in more than twenty languages.
Book the exact time block and choose with comfort—not just the maximum headcount—in mind. Confirm any must-have regional song before paying.

McCarthy's: Public Karaoke Every Night
McCarthy's at Rytířská 406/10 says karaoke runs in its downstairs club every night. You gain a ready-made audience and a central Old Town location, but you do not own the microphone or the timetable.
Ask the host how requests work as soon as you arrive. A busy public room cannot give every person in a large group repeated solos. This format suits travellers who want cheering, conversation and one memorable turn more than a guaranteed rotation.
The venue also runs food, live music and sport, so confirm the entertainment sequence for your date rather than treating the pub's opening hours as a karaoke timetable.

A weekly event, not a nightly promise
The Pitch: Check the Dated Programme
The Pitch at Ječná 509/12 describes a weekly karaoke event in its bar, with the option to move into the club area as the night grows.
The official page does not name one permanent weekday. Verify the dated programme or contact the venue before travelling. Current bar hours run Monday–Thursday 17:00–02:00 and Friday–Saturday 18:00–03:00, but an open bar does not automatically mean an open microphone.

Let Group Size Decide
Coats, drinks and movement consume space. A room that technically fits the group may not be the comfortable room.
Build the Rest of the Night Around the Commitment
A fixed private-room booking should anchor the evening because late arrival wastes paid time. A public event is more flexible but less predictable, so keep the next stop nearby.
For a participatory start, choose another activity-led pre-game. Midweek visitors can build the midweek route around a dated event, while mixed-age groups should match the pace to the group instead of assuming everyone wants a 05:00 finish.
Need a Fixed Group Start Before the Next Stop?
A hosted cruise is a different format from karaoke, but it can give a mixed group one meeting point and a defined social opening to the night.
